VULCAN® 3-LP carbon black by Cabot is a reinforcing carbon black characterized by a controlled, very low polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) content. It is designed for use in certain rubber articles currently based on ASTM N300 series. It offers higher reinforcement, strength, abrasion and tearing resistance level as compared to semi-reinforcing carbon blacks. Recommended for toys & childcare articles, sport equipment (bicycles, golf clubs and racquets), household utensils, trolleys & walking frames, tools for domestic use, clothing, footwear, gloves & sportswear, watch straps, wrist bands, masks and head bands. VULCAN® 3-LP carbon black is also used in potable water contact applications including hoses & membranes, liners in drinking water system (pipes, tanks) and food contact applications including gaskets, o-rings & seals, food transportation belts, liquid food transmission hoses, milk inflation liners, wrapping and packaging material.
