Forane® 142b by Arkema is gaseous 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane blowing agent. It is used alone or in combination with other blowing agent in production of polystyrene insulation board and as a primary or coblowing agent for polyolefin pipe insulation and packaging. It reduces ozone depletion potential and global warming potential.
