Polymerization Inhibitors for Plastic Compounds

BRUGGOLEN® C25 by Brüggemann is an activator for anionic polymerization of AP-NYLON® Caprolactam. It slows down the polymerization process in a much more controlled manner. It facilitates the production of parts with large dimensions and/or small wall thicknesses as well as the production of high-quality composites. It offers the possibility during product development of filling parts slowly in order to be able to optimize processes. BRUGGOLEN® C25 is used for developments for AP-NYLON® cast polyamides. Recommended dosage level is 0.5 - 2.5 wt%. The shelf life is at least 12 months.

Vanlube® RI-A by Vanderbilt Chemicals acts as an ashless rust inhibitor.

Santoflex™ 134PD by Flexsys is an effective polymerization inhibitor, antioxidant and antiozonant. It provides protection against fatigue degradation in both static and dynamic operating conditions. It offers excellent high-temperature fatigue-, flex resistance and ozone protection due to its specific molecular structure and higher rubber solubility.

• It is least affected by environmental variables such as heat or leaching leading to greater durability.
• It will discolor compounds and cause severe contact and migration staining.
• It offers good stability with a wide range of solutions and emulsion polymers.
• It is used as an inhibitor in styrene monomer, p-methyl styrene, divinylbenzene and acrylate esters production and as a column antifoulant.
• It is compatible with natural and synthetic elastomer compounds.
• Santoflex™ 134PD complies with DSL, AICS, ENCS, ISHL, KECI, PICCS, IECSC, TCSI and TSCA.
• It is applicable in pneumatic tire components, solid tires, belts, hoses, cables, automotive mounts, bushings and general mechanical products.
• It has a shelf life of 24 months.

Santoflex™ 434PD by Flexsys is an antioxidant and polymerization inhibitor used in monomer processing. It is a blend of several phenylenediamines especially suitable for methacrylate monomer distillations. Santoflex™ 434PD finds application in tires. Complies with DSL, AICS, ENCS, ISHL, KECI, PICCS, IECSC, TCSI and TSCA. It has a shelf life of 24 months.

Santoflex™ 44PD by Flexsys is an amine based antioxidant and polymerization inhibitor. It acts as a high activity antiozonant to protect natural and synthetic elastomer compounds, particularly in static applications for compounds containing no wax.

• It offers improved flex fatigue protection and compound protection against catalytic degradation by copper and other heavy metals.
• It provides stabilization for a wide range of solution and emulsion polymerized elastomers that can tolerate discoloration.
• It is used as a sweetening agent for fuels.

• Santoflex™ 44PD complies with DSL, AICS, ENCS, ISHL, KECI, PICCS, IECSC, TCSI and TSCA.
• It has a shelf life of 24 months.

Santoflex™ 77PD by Flexsys is an antiozonant and amine-based antioxidant. It is recommended as a polymerization inhibitor in styrene monomer, p-methylstyrene, divinylbenzene and acrylate esters production and as a column antifoulant.

• It provides stabilization for a wide range of solution and emulsion polymerized elastomers that can tolerate discoloration and protection against catalytic degradation by copper and other heavy metals.
• It offers improved flex fatigue protection.
• Due to its high solubility in rubber, it does not bloom or easily leaches from compounds even at high concentrations.
• It is compatible with natural- and synthetic elastomer compounds, particularly in static applications for compounds containing no wax.

Bantard PVI by Bann Quimica is n-(cyclohexylthio)ftalimide-based inhibitor.

Plasticolors® IN-90387 by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is an inhibitor solution comprising of parabenzoquinone (PBQ). It offers elimination of airborne particles and provides improved safe handling. Compatible with unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl esters. Suitable for polyester thermoset applications to manage storage stability and to delay premature gelation. Applications of Plasticolors® IN-90387 include SMC, BMC, TMC, pultrusion and polyester resin production. It should be protected from extreme temperatures ranging from 0°C to 22°C.

VCI MASTER BATCH by Blend Colours is a vapor corrosion inhibitor masterbatch with LLDPE and LDPE as carrier resins. It is used in film blowing, molding, and clinking films. Recommended dosage level is 1.5-2%.

Plasticolors® IN-90468 by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is a parabenzoquinone (PBQ) inhibitor grade. Best suited for BMC, TMC, pultrusion and polyester resin production. It offers elimination of airborne particles and provides improved safe handling. Compatible with unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl esters. Suitable for polyester thermoset applications to manage storage stability and to delay premature gelation. Plasticolors® IN-90468 should be protected from extreme temperatures ranging from -10°C to 22°C.
