CHARGUARD™ 2010

CHARGUARD™ 2010 by Elementis is an organically modified special lamellar silicate used as a flame-retardant synergist. It improves the mechanical properties of thermoplastic materials.
- It does not contain intentionally added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
- Enhances gas barrier and reduces heat release rate to achieve the synergistic effect of flame retardant.
- Its unique functional groups strengthen the inorganic structure, increases char formation efficiency, enhances the density & strength of carbon layer and inhibit dripping.
- It lowers aluminum hydroxide and magnesium dosage in polymers.
- It is suitable for halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic compounds such as ethylene-vinyl acetate co-polymer (EVA), low density polyethylene (LDPE), high impact styrene (HIPS), polypropylene (PP), polyamide (nylon 6) and polylactic acid (PLA).
- Recommended dosage level is 1%-5% as supplied based on total formulation weight.
- It is suitable for automotive, household, recycled and flame-retardant plastic applications.

Clearstrength® C-223 by Arkema is a methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) core-shell impact modifier. It is designed to meet the most demanding impact performances in injection molding, extrusion and calendering opaque applications. It provides good impact to polycarbonate, polyesters, and various polycarbonate blends especially PC/ABS.
- Due to its high rubber content, it offers high impact efficiency at room and low temperature, allowing dosage optimization and cost saving in formulation.
