It can be processed using extrusion, injection molding and thermoforming. During injection molding, its combination of good flow and high heat resistance makes short cycle times possible. Perfectly designed for hot-hill applications in extrusion-thermoforming processes. Suitable for fabrication of heat resistant items. Applications for POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 3450 include trays & small boxes, electrical appliances, technical parts, compounds & masterbatches, high heat food & beverage packaging, appliances, coffee cups, office equipments, household, toys and electronics. Complies with REACH, TSCA, ENCS, AICS, KECI, PICCS, IECSC and DSL. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 6540 by Total Refining & Chemicals is a water insoluble, easy flow, high impact polystyrene grade. Exhibits a good balance of mechanical and thermal properties. It combines physical properties such as flow necessary for large or complex moldings, impact resistance for good mechanical properties in thin wall sections and good thermal properties for articles subjected to elevated temperatures in use. Offers high productivity. Applications of POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 6540 include electrical appliances, technical parts, compounds & masterbatches, appliances, toys, television housings and food packaging. Also used in refrigerator, computer keyboards, office equipment and household items. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 4440 is a water insoluble, high flow, high impact polystyrene grade. It can be processed using gas-assisted injection molding. Suitable for large parts demanding good dimensional stability at high temperatures, particularly boxes, frames, front and back covers for television sets. Applications include office equipments, electrical appliances, technical parts, compounds & masterbatches and appliances. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 7240 is a water insoluble, very high impact polystyrene grade. It can be processed using extrusion. Also, it can be diluted with crystal polystyrene such as POLYSTYRENE CRYSTAL 1160, 1340, 1540 at high levels to obtain stiff and impact resistant multilayer sheet for thermoformed packaging. Applications include trays & small boxes, corrugated sheets, technical parts, compounds & masterbatches, food & beverage packaging, appliances, general packaging, healthcare products, TV, foam articles, dairy sheet for form-fill-seal, individual dairy pots, cups, food trays, eggs boxes and disposables. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 is a water insoluble, high heat resistance, high impact polystyrene grade. It is a white pellet. Exhibits mild odor. Moreover, it can be processed using extrusion, injection and compounding. Suitable for applications requiring high heat resistance and high impact strength. Applications include compounds, masterbatches, technical parts, hot fills and razors. Complies with REACH, TSCA, ENCS, AICS, KECI, PICCS, IECSC and DSL. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 fulfills harmonized requirements on plastic materials used for articles or components of articles intended to come into contact with food as described in the Regulation (EU) 10/2011 amended up to Regulation (EU) 2015/174 and the requirements of the national laws. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 is a water insoluble polystyrene grade. Exhibits improved environmental stress crack resistance (when compared to standard high impact grades). Retains good mechanical properties at low temperatures making this grade suitable for frozen packaging. Also affords good printing performance. It can be processed using extrusion and injection. Suitable for refrigerator parts (inner liners, door liners, injected parts, etc.). Also proposed for the production of packaging intended for products likely to cause stress cracking like fats and oil. Applications for POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 include trays & small boxes, white goods, corrugated sheets, technical parts, compounds & masterbatches, food & beverage packaging, appliances, general packaging, sheet for thermoforming, low temperature packaging applications (ice cream boxes & lids) and packaging for aggressive foodstuffs, matt finish & soft touch applications. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 3630 is a water insoluble, easy flow, medium impact polystyrene grade. Exhibits ease of coloration and good surface finish. Offers softening point allowing for the production of large and complex articles at good cycle times. Applications include TV, media & jewel boxes, technical parts, compounds & masterbatches, appliances, crates & boxes, office equipments, assorted boxes, bathroom accessories, various injected articles and toys. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens.
