POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 is a water insoluble, high heat resistance, high impact polystyrene grade. It is a white pellet. Exhibits mild odor. Moreover, it can be processed using extrusion, injection and compounding. Suitable for applications requiring high heat resistance and high impact strength. Applications include compounds, masterbatches, technical parts, hot fills and razors. Complies with REACH, TSCA, ENCS, AICS, KECI, PICCS, IECSC and DSL. POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 fulfills harmonized requirements on plastic materials used for articles or components of articles intended to come into contact with food as described in the Regulation (EU) 10/2011 amended up to Regulation (EU) 2015/174 and the requirements of the national laws. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens.
