Toray Cetex™ TC1005 by Toray is a next‑generation thermoplastic polyetherimide (PEI)-based composite, designed to deliver an outstanding balance of performance and value. It is developed for high-performance, cost-efficient part manufacturing. It delivers outstanding toughness along with the inherent fire, smoke and toxicity (FST) performance of PEI, making Toray Cetex™ TC1005 suitable for aircraft interiors and other applications that demand stringent fire safety standards, including rail and industrial environments. Toray Cetex® TC1130 by Toray is a high-end thermoplastic composite material that utilizes the amorphous PESU polymer for outstanding toughness and an inherently outstanding fire, smoke, and toxicity performance (< 15/15 OSU). It can be combined with core materials of the same chemistry to create fully recyclable monomaterial sandwich structures. <br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>As compared to its semi-crystalline counterparts, it helps to achieve even shorter cycle times and high surface finish.</li>
<li>It exhibits a superior bondability, which makes it very suitable for hybrid assemblies consisting of different materials.</li>
<li>It is available as a fabric prepreg with a woven glass reinforcement and is supplied in reconsolidated reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) of varying thicknesses.</li>
<li>It offers low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and coefficient of moisture expansion (CME), low moisture absorption and chemical resistance.</li>
<li>It is suitable for processing by overmolding and injection molding.</li>
<li>It is used in applications in aircraft interiors such as sandwich panels, side walls, ceiling panels, overhead stow bins, monuments and monolithic parts like seat shells & ducting channels.</li>
<li>It has indefinite shelf life at ambient temperature storage.</li></ul> Toray Cetex® TC1225 by Toray is a high-end thermoplastic composite material which utilize a utilize a semi-crystalline engineered low-melt PAEK resin. Exhibits superior processability due to low-melt viscosity and relatively low processing temperature. It provides form freedom which is suited for over molding with neat or short fiber reinforced PEEK.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> Offers low processing temperature which enables shorter cycle times and less energy consumption.</li>
<li> It also exhibits excellent mechanical performance even at elevated temperatures and excellent toughness which is demonstrated by high compression after impact strengths with fracture toughness values.</li>
<li> It is weldable and can be processed by press forming, auto clave and AFT or ATL.</li>
<li> Toray Cetex® TC1225 is available as a UD tape, a fabric prepreg and as reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) of varying thicknesses.</li>
<li> RTLs can be equipped with lightning strike protection, and carbon reinforced RTLs can be supplied with a thin glass top layer to protect a partly metallic assembly against galvanic corrosion.</li>
<li>Recommended for medical, aircraft interior, aerostructures, radome and urban air mobility applications.</li></ul>
