Toray Cetex® TC1130

Toray Cetex® TC1130 by Toray is a high-end thermoplastic composite material that utilizes the amorphous PESU polymer for outstanding toughness and an inherently outstanding fire, smoke, and toxicity performance (< 15/15 OSU). It can be combined with core materials of the same chemistry to create fully recyclable monomaterial sandwich structures.

• As compared to its semi-crystalline counterparts, it helps to achieve even shorter cycle times and high surface finish.
• It exhibits a superior bondability, which makes it very suitable for hybrid assemblies consisting of different materials.
• It is available as a fabric prepreg with a woven glass reinforcement and is supplied in reconsolidated reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) of varying thicknesses.
• It offers low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and coefficient of moisture expansion (CME), low moisture absorption and chemical resistance.
• It is suitable for processing by overmolding and injection molding.
• It is used in applications in aircraft interiors such as sandwich panels, side walls, ceiling panels, overhead stow bins, monuments and monolithic parts like seat shells & ducting channels.
• It has indefinite shelf life at ambient temperature storage.
