KPLAST™ 8026 by Kane International is a hard, aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade with high molecular weight. Is a NPAC soluble grade, offering very good resistance to chemicals, oils, fats and water. Exhibits modification with an aliphatic isocyanate to achieve ethanol solubility. Imparts very good adhesion to polyolefin films, good gloss and compatibility with nitrocellulose, polyvinyl butyral (PVB), ketone and maleic resins. KPLAST™ 8026 can be used alone and in conjunction with other softer TPU’s and monomeric plasticizers. Designed to act as an adhesion promoter, mainly in nitrocellulose based gravure inks for flexible packaging. Complies with REACH and F.D.A. regulations, Chapter 21, Section 175-105.
KFILM™ 7731 by Kane International is a 100% aliphatic, tin-free thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) elastomer grade with high molecular weight. Is a nitrocellulose compatible, ethanol dilutable, IPA and NPAC soluble grade. Exhibits flexibility at low temperature, very low solvent retention, fast solvent release and low tack for increased block resistance. Designed for lamination and film extrusion applications. KFILM™ 7731 complies with REACH and F.D.A. regulations, Chapter 21, Section 175-105.
KFILM™ 8165 by Kane International is a pure aliphatic, neutral thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade, based on a soybean polyol. Exhibits high molecular weight, excellent re-solubility, printability, adhesion and lamination bond strength, fast solvent release, very low solvent retention, no tack for increased block resistance and good UV light stability. Is ethanol soluble, ethyl acetate dilutable and maintains flexibility at very low temperatures. Imparts excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates used in flexible packaging including coated and treated polypropylene (PP), polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) coated cellophane, polyethylene (PE) and nylon (PA).
