Liveo™ Class VI Elastomers C6-135 Parts A & B by DuPont is a heat cured, platinum-catalyzed (1:1 by weight) class VI rubber silicone elastomer. It is a non-blooming, pigmentable, cost-effective grade available as a two-part kit. It consists of cross-linked dimethyl & methyl-vinyl siloxane copolymers and reinforcing silica. It can be post cured. It does not contain peroxides & by-products, chlorophenyls or PCBs, organic plasticizers, phthalates or latex additives. Exhibits non-tacky surface and high batch-to-batch consistency. Suitable for processing by extrusion. Liveo™ Class VI Elastomers C6-135 Parts A & B is recommended for medical device and component fabrication including those implanted in humans for 29 days. It meets US FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) Class VI and ISO 10993-1 for surface devices. It conforms to EP (European Pharmacopoeia) Monograph 3.1.9 closures and tubing tested for volatile matter and substances soluble in hexane & USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia) tested for cytotoxicity and skin sensitization.
