AKROMID® S3 1 by Akro-Plastic is a renewable resource-based polyamide 6-10 grade. Has a renewable-resource content of up to 70% and therefore fulfils the current definition of a bioplastic. It is synthesized from castor oil which is obtained from the seeds of Ricinus communis, the castor oil plant. From a technical standpoint, it closes the gap between PA 6/PA 6.6 and PA 12. It is characterized by significantly lower moisture absorption compared to PA 6 and PA 6.6. Exhibits excellent cold impact resistance. Other outstanding characteristics include very good chemical resistance due to the structure of the polymer and high hydrolysis resistance, although it can be processed like all common polyamides. The materials from the PA 6.10 product family are further characterized by exceptional dimensional stability, good surface quality, good abrasion resistance wear behavior, and an improved carbon footprint. AKROMID® S3 1 is used in automotive sector (connectors, housings, non-return valves, power steering-fluid reservoirs, corrugated tubing and fluid pipes), machine construction & tool building (gears, door handles, fittings, office equipments, housings, functional parts, connectors, plugs, power tools), sports & leisure (components in high-end garden tools, bicycle accessories, sail-boat accessories, winter sports accessories). AKROMID® B3 GFM 15/25 black (1312) by Akro-Plastic is a 15% glass fiber, 25% mineral filled reinforced polyamide 6 (PA 6). It exhibits good surface and dimensional stability. It offers surface modification and low warpage. It is recommended for automotive, electric and furniture industry. AKROMID® A3 GF 30 4 6 black 950058 (1369) by Akro-Plastic is 30% glass-fiber filled, heat stabilized polyamide 6.6. It exhibits hydrolysis, chemical resistance, high stiffness & strength. AKROMID® A3 GF 30 4 6 black 950058 (1369) is recommended for functional parts in heating- and cooling system in automotive industry. AKROMID® A28 GF 37 1 GIT black (5887) by Akro-Plastic is 37% glass-fiber filled, heat stabilized, polyamide 66. AKROMID® A28 GF 37 1 GIT black (5887) exhibits easy flow with high stiffness & strength for gas injection technology. It is recommended for engineering parts. It is suitable for standard injection molding for good surface quality. AKROMID® B3 GF 60 4 RM-M black (5238) by Akro-Plastic is chemical stabilized, 60% glass fiber reinforced polyamide 6 (PA 6). It exhibits low humidity absorption and very good surface finish. It is recommended for industrial engineering and in the automotive industry. AKROMID® T1 GF 50 by Akro-Plastic is a polyphthalamide (PPA)-based grade with a partially aromatic polyamide block in the polymer chain and reinforced with 50% glass fiber. Provides high temperature-resistance, excellent stiffness, good surface finish, easy processability and minimal creep. Exhibits improved chemical and hydrolytic resistance and lowest moisture absorption out of the three PA grades (PA 6, PA 6.6, PPA). Shows resistance towards fuels, glycol, alcohol, oils, water etc. Maintains its initial stability even at temperatures of up to 140 °C. Processed by injection molding. Is suitable for metal replacement in applications involving high temperature loading in the automotive sector such as components subjected to mechanically high stress in engine construction and in machine building in the interior (center armrest, etc.), cooling system (thermostat housing, connectors, etc.), in the oil circuit (tensioner bases, etc.), in the brake system (valve bodies, etc.), in clutch components (central clutch release bearing, etc.), and in air ducting parts (side pieces for charge-air coolers, control shafts, etc.). Used in electrical industry for mobile telephone parts (chip carrier, etc.), coil formers, motor parts (brush holders, etc.), plugs and connectors and bulb and LED sockets. Also used for dimensionally stable housings and hot water resistant functional parts in the sanitary- as well as appliance industry such as heating systems (fan housings, etc.), components for coffee machines (grades compliant with KTW ? AKROMID® T6 GF 30 by Akro-Plastic is a polyphthalamide (PPA)-based grade with a partially aromatic polyamide block in the polymer chain and reinforced with 30% glass fiber. Provides high temperature-resistance, good surface finish and easy processability along with maximum heat distortion temperature and lowest creep resistance at 150 °C in comparison to T1 and T”9” series. Exhibits improved chemical and hydrolytic resistance and lowest moisture absorption out of the three PA grades (PA 6, PA 6.6, PPA). Shows resistance towards fuels, glycol, alcohol, oils, water etc. Maintains its initial stability even at temperatures of up to 140 °C. Processed by injection molding.
