Radel® R-5000 by Syensqo is an autoclavable, general purpose, radiotranslucent, flame retardant, detergent resistant, biocompatible polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) grade. Exhibits good chemical resistance, good dimensional stability, good electrical properties, good thermal aging resistance, high environmental stress crack resistance, and high heat resistance. Offers resistance to acids, bases, gamma radiation & steam, E-beam sterilizability, ethylene oxide sterilizability, good thermal stability, heat sterilizability, hydrolytic stability, steam sterilizability and ultra-high toughness. Radel® R-5000 is suitable for processing by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, machining, sheet- film & profile extrusion, and thermoforming. Recommended applications include automotive, hospital goods, medical devices, dental applications, healthcare applications, membranes, surgical instruments, and food contact applications. It complies with the FAA FAR 25.853a, NSF 51, NSF 61, ISO 10993, RoHS, and ASTM D6394 SP0312 regulations.
