PAA 4000 (Conditioned) by ProPolymers is a semi-crystalline, aromatic nylon copolymer reinforced with 40% glass. It is extremely stiff but brittle in nature. Possesses very high stiffness & strength similar to PPA, best long term heat resistance, excellent flow, excellent oil- & fuel resistance and good solvent resistance. Compared to nylon 6/6, it is stronger, stiffer, less sensitive to moisture, and has higher thermal capabilities. It can be processed in water heated tools and provides excellent surface finish. Suitable for a wide range of applications because of their outstanding physical, thermal and electrical properties. It is commonly used in metal and die cast replacement applications to replace die cast aluminum and zinc for weight and cost savings. Applications also include electrical components and fuel handling component.
