UNITAL® esd is an electrostatically dissipative (esd) stock shaped polyoxymethylene (POM) grade by Nytef Plastics, contains inherently dissipative polymer (IDP) as an additive. IDP additive is homogeneously dispersed throughout the material’s polymer matrix, eliminating the wide variations in resistivity (hot and cold spotting). Exhibits high strength, high stiffness, excellent toughness, superior wear resistance and low coefficient of friction. Shows 180°F continuous use temperature, broad chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. It can be easily machined & fabricated and is available available in extruded heavy section rod, plate and tubular bar. UNITAL® esd is used in semiconductor manufacturing, electrical, electronics, hard drive manufacturing, radio frequency communications and telecommunication industries. Sample applications include circuit board test fixtures, semiconductor wafer handling devices, hard drive assembly fixtures, opto-electronic component housings, ESD sensitive conveyor components (rollers, bearings, slide rails, pallets, product guides etc.). Complies with UL 94 HB flame rating.
