UNIPET® PET is a semi-crystalline polyester terephthalate (PET) grade by Nytef Plastics. Exhibits 230°F continuous use temperature, high strength, stiffness, superior wear resistance and chemical resistance to chlorine and caustic/acidic cleaning agents. Offers improved UV resistance, dimensional stability, low rate of thermal expansion and very low moisture absorption. It can be easily machined & fabricated and offers a complete range of extruded rod and heavy gauge plate sizes. It is ideal for applications that require close tolerance, precisely machined component parts. UNIPET® PET is used in food & dairy processing, material handling equipment, fluid handling, electronics manufacturing and automotive industries. Sample applications include pistons, valves, manifolds, food product forming dies, timing screws and scraper blades. Complies with FDA, USDA, 3-A Dairy Compliant and UL 94 HB flame rating.
