jER™ 1256B40 by Mitsubishi Chemical is a solvent-based, flexible, high performance, low viscosity, bisphenol A epoxy resin having high molecular weight. It is formed by the condensation polymerization of bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. Exhibits good adhesiveness, small curing shrinkage, excellent dimensional stability and high mechanical strength. Offers excellent heat-, wear-, chemical-, moisture- and abrasion resistance. Possible applications of jER™ 1256B40 could be paints & coatings, electrical insulation materials, composite material, civil engineering & construction materials, adhesives and tools. The cured material exhibits improved crack-resistance.
