Pearlstick™ 46-10/12 is an elastic, crystalline, linear and aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) grade by Lubrizol. Offers very high crystallization rate and high thermoplasticity. Exhibits high tenacity, stress-strain power, surface tack and low melting point. Soluble in methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cyclohexanone, dimethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran (THF). Pearlstick™ 46-10/12 is used in the production of adhesives for plasticized PVC to plasticized PVC, leather, textiles, metals and papers of furniture and shoe industries. Addition of polyfunctional isocyanate improves the heat-resistance and strength of the joints.
