SEPTON™ 8004

SEPTON™ 8004 by Kuraray is a hydrogenated styrene ethylene butylene styrene copolymer (SEBS). It possesses appropriate tensile strength, high affinity to PE, smooth surface (less fish eye), good oil holding- and low-temperature properties. It is also a recyclable grade. It shows weather-, heat aging- and chemical resistance (acid, alkali, alcohol). It possesses high elasticity, strength and electrical properties (insulation). It is soluble in petroleum benzene, toluene, hexane, chloroform, cyclohexane, tetrahydrofuran and partially soluble in ethyl acetate & methyl ethyl ketone. It is insoluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, water and dimethylformamide. SEPTON™ 8004 is used in automotive parts, compounds, plastic modifiers, wire & cables, fibers and non-woven fabric.
