Aonilex® X151A by Kaneka is a plant-oil-based biodegradable polyester. It is produced by microorganisms in a specified fermentation condition using plant oils as the carbon source.
- It has excellent flexibility, hydrolysis stability and heat resistance.
- Can act as a barrier to water vapor.
- Exhibits a range of properties from hardness through to softness as well as a number of key characteristics similar to polyethylene & polypropylene materials. It shows excellent biodegradability under aerobic, anaerobic, aquatic & composting conditions and is proven to be an environmental friendly plastic.
- It improves the strength & tear resistance of packaging films, especially agricultural mulch films and composting bags.
- Aonilex® X151A is suitable for high durability molded products such as bottles and containers, auto interiors & electrical equipment.
