KPLAST™ 1039 by Kane International is a moderately tough, aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade with high molecular weight and glass transition temperature (Tg). Is an ETAC and IPA soluble grade, offering very good resistance to chemicals, oils, fats and water. Imparts very good adhesion to polyolefin films, good gloss and compatibility with nitrocellulose, polyvinyl butyral (PVB), ketone and maleic resins. KPLAST™ 1039 acts as an adhesion promoter, mainly in nitrocellulose based gravure inks for flexible packaging. Can also be used in conjunction with softer TPU’s. Recommended for production of superior moisture resistant semi-film forming plasticizer. Complies with REACH and F.D.A. regulations, Chapter 21, Section 175-105.
