Arlon® 3160XT by Greene Tweed is a glass-reinforced, cross-linked polyether ether ketone (PEEK) material. It provides higher glass transition, ensuring higher effective use temperature (above 260°C based on operating conditions) and higher mechanical properties. It is designed for structural and sealing applications.
- It exhibits exceptional chemical-, flame- and creep resistance, ensuring long-term durability under sustained mechanical loads.
- It offers high-temperature performance, maintains electrical insulative properties and resists degradation in critical electrochemical cells, allowing long operational lifespans.
- Arlon® 3160XT is recommended for electrolyzer, fuel cell components and applications where bolts, compression is used to assemble products and must remain tight.
- It is also used in valve seats, where the small size of hydrogen molecules require very high actuation force and the standard glass-filled PEEK may deform.
