Solprene® 1205

Solprene® 1205 commercialized by Dynasol is a linear random-block styrene-butadiene copolymer grade. Available as BHT/TNPP free. Contains 25% of styrene content (17.5% present as a polystyrene block) and non-staining antioxidant system. Essentially gel free with a very clear color. Insoluble in water while soluble in organic solvents. Excellent modifier for asphalt, formulations of caulks and sealants. Offers an excellent processing aid for most polymers, giving a good resistance to low temperature. Used in extruded goods, adhesives, paving, polymer modification, carpet underlay and footwear (soles & heel). It can also be used as modifier for thermoplastic resins and in adhesive formulations. It is packed in bales wrapped in low melting point polyethylene. In case of polymer modification by chemical reaction it can be wrapped in styrene-butadiene film. Solprene® 1205 commercialized by Dynasol complies with FDA (Food and Drug Administration), REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), EINECS (European Inventory of Existing Commercial Substances), TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act), US Environmental Protection Agency, HSDB (US National Library of Medicine) and RTECS (US Dept. of Health & Human Services).
