ECCtreme™ ECA 3000 by Chemours is a melt-processable, high-temperature perfluoroplastic (HTP) resin. Shows better functionality when heat-treated at temperatures up to 300°C, resulting in epitaxial co-crystallization (ECC). It is suitable for injection molding, compression molding and tube extrusion applications. Possesses excellent chemical resistance, superior electrical properties, high-service temperatures, high dielectric strength and low dielectric constant. Offers low loss factors, extremely high specific resistance, increased stress crack resistance, low flammability and high thermal stability. Provides outstanding electrical insulating properties and long life. ECCtreme™ ECA 3000 exhibits wide operating window and permeation resistance to methane, oxygen, carbon dioxide and water. Recommended for wire and cable insulation exposed to extreme service conditions such as very high temperatures, elevated pressures and corrosive surroundings. Typical fields of application include oil and gas industry, aerospace, energy generation, semiconductor fabrication, electric submersible pumps, data-logging cables, heater cables, appliance wires, geothermal uses and automotive industry. For wire and cable applications, 300°C rating is based on UL 1581 and UL 758 testing.
