Ionomers for Plastic Parts

SURLYN™ 8940-E Ionomer by Dow is a sodium based ionomer with excellent transparency for optic control of powder loading. It offers high melt strength, uniform stretching and high tensile strength. It is suitable for processing by conventional extrusion, blow molding, injection molding, sheet- and tube extrusion. It is used in mining, shock tubes and footwear applications. SURLYN™ 8940-E Ionomer complies with TSCA, GB 4806.1-2016, EN 71-3, EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS), EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE) and conforms to CONEG, EU 94/62/EC.

HiFill® TPX-IONOMER-02055 BK by Techmer PM is an ionomer grade reinforced with 40% glass fiber. Is suitable for processing by injection molding.

SURLYN™ PC-2000 CIR Ionomer by Dow is a sustainable ionomer of ethylene acid copolymer produced from mixed plastic waste. It pioneers the use of renewable and circular feedstocks. It exhibits high gloss & transparency, superior scratch and chemical resistance.

• It offers properties that give the unique look, feel, performance, free design and decoration.
• It is used in packaging for the cosmetic industry such as perfume caps, cream jars, personal care pots.
• It is suitable for processing by injection molding.
• SURLYN™ PC-2000 CIR Ionomer is TSCA and ISCC Plus certified.

SURLYN™ PC-2000 REN Ionomer by Dow is an ionomer of ethylene acid copolymer. It exhibits high gloss & transparency, superior scratch and chemical resistance. It pioneers the use of renewable and circular feedstocks and produced from bio-waste such as used cooking oil (UCO). It offers properties that gives the unique look, feel, performance, free design and decoration.

• It is used in packaging for the cosmetic industry such as perfume caps, cream jars, personal care pots.
• It is suitable for processing by injection molding.
• SURLYN™ PC-2000 REN Ionomer is TSCA listed and ISCC Plus certified.

CLARIX® 111901-01 Clear by LyondellBasell is a sodium ionomer grade. It exhibits good sealant properties, high gloss and good clarity. This grade offers excellent UV-, puncture-, chemical-, scratch- and mar resistance. It is processed by injection molding, blown-, cast- and coextruded film applications. CLARIX® 111901-01 Clear is used in packaging and foil lamination.

CLARIX® 210901-01 Clear by LyondellBasell is zinc ionomer grade. It exhibits good sealant properties, high gloss and good clarity. Offers excellent UV-, puncture-, chemical-, scratch- and mar resistance. CLARIX® 210901-01 Clear is suitable for processing by injection molding and compounding extrusion applications. It is used in packaging and foil lamination.

CLARIX® 210805-01 Clear by LyondellBasell is a zinc ionomer grade. It exhibits good sealant properties, high gloss and good clarity. This grade offers excellent UV-, puncture-, chemical-, scratch- and mar resistance. It is processed by injection molding, blown-, cast- and coextruded film applications. CLARIX® 210805-01 Clear is used in packaging and foil lamination.

SURLYN™ 8920 Ionomer by Dow is a sodium ionomer of ethylene acid copolymer. It offers toughness, thermoformability, high transparency, very high stiffness and chemical resistance. It acts as a nucleating agent for PET compounds. SURLYN™ 8920 Ionomer is suitable for processing by blow molding, injection molding and sheet extrusion. It is designed for golf balls and wood plastic composites. It complies with TSCA, EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE) & EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and conforms to CONEG & EU Directive 94/62/EC.

SURLYN™ 1705 Ionomer by Dow is a high clarity zinc ionomer of ethylene acid copolymer with moderate oil barrier. It exhibits toughness at low temperature and very low seal initiation temperature.

• It provides very high hot tack, abrasion- and flex crack resistance.
• It is suitable for processing by conventional extrusion coating, blown film-, cast film-, sheet extrusion and coextrusion.
• It is used in sealant, glass lidding, pharmaceutical-, general food- and personal care packaging.
• SURLYN™ 1705 Ionomer complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1330(a), TSCA, GB 4806.1-2016, EN 71-3, EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS), EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE) and conforms to CONEG & EU 94/62/EC.

SURLYN™ 1601 lonomer by Dow is a reliable, cost-effective ethylene acid copolymer. It exhibits outstanding clarity, high stiffness, abrasion- & flex crack resistance, and ability to downgauge. It is a sodium ionomer grade used as sealant.

• It provides low seal initiation temperature, high toughness at low temperature, oil barrier and very high hot tack.
• It is suitable for processing by conventional blown film-, cast film-, sheet extrusion and co-extrusion.
• It is recommended for meat and cheese packaging applications.
• SURLYN™ 1601 lonomer complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1330(a), TSCA, GB 4806.1-2016, EN 71-3, EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE), EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and conforms to CONEG, EU 94/62/EC.
