SURLYN™ 1705 Ionomer by Dow is a high clarity zinc ionomer of ethylene acid copolymer with moderate oil barrier. It exhibits toughness at low temperature and very low seal initiation temperature.
  • It provides very high hot tack, abrasion- and flex crack resistance.
  • It is suitable for processing by conventional extrusion coating, blown film-, cast film-, sheet extrusion and coextrusion.
  • It is used in sealant, glass lidding, pharmaceutical-, general food- and personal care packaging.
  • SURLYN™ 1705 Ionomer complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1330(a), TSCA, GB 4806.1-2016, EN 71-3, EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS), EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE) and conforms to CONEG & EU 94/62/EC.
