Propanediol. PromaCare® 1,3-PDO (Bio-Based) by Uniproma Chemical acts as a solvent, wetting agent, stabilizer, humectant, gelling agent and antifreeze agent. It is a 100% biobased carbon-based diol produced from glucose as a raw material. It contains two hydroxyl functional groups which gives it properties such as solubility, hygroscopicity, emulsifying ability and high permeability.
- It is used in sunscreen, makeup and whitening products.
- PromaCare® 1,3-PDO (Bio-Based) has a shelf life of 24 months.
