Dodecane. CasEmol 12 by Thomas Swan is a paraffinic emollient. It acts as a carrier by temporarily solubilizing actives or pigments for uniform delivery. It is a sensory enhancer that reduces tackiness and enhances slip for a soft-focus. It is a biodegradable alternate to silicones and poly(organo)siloxanes, particularly cyclomethicone and cyclopentasiloxane (D5).
