Oryza Sativa Bran Cera. Rice Bran Wax #224 by Koster Keunen acts as a wax/ consistency factor, emollient, thickener, binder, plasticizer and gelling agent. It consists of high molecular weight monoesters ranging from C-46 to C-66. It is a high melting point vegetable wax obtained from winterization of rice bran oil. It allows the wax to retain policosanols, phospholipids, phytosterols and squalene for superior quality. Offers good hardness, texture, strength and mold release. It can be used as a substitute for Candelilla in many formulations. Rice Bran Wax #224 is used in lipsticks, lip balm, make-up, mascaras, sun care, skin and hair care products.
