SeraSense® SF 1.8

Dimethicone. SeraSense® SF 1.8 by KCC Silicone acts as an emollient and carrier. It is a volatile methylsiloxane fluid and has a linear structure with transient emollients or carriers, with excellent spreadability and lubrication properties. It exhibits non skin-cooling vaporization and by using blends of dimethicones, the difference in volatility can be used to vary the residence time of the silicone on the skin. It is a non-VOC cosmetic solvent and provides dry, non-greasy, soft & silky skin feel. Moreover, it contains no oily residue, improves wet combing and shows low surface tension & viscosity. It is compatible with many organic materials and solvents. SeraSense® SF 1.8 finds application in formulating antiperspirant, deodorant, color cosmetics and skin-, sun- and hair-care products.
