Potassium Cetyl Phosphate. It acts as an O/W emulsifier and surfactant. It promotes the formation of intimate mixtures of non-miscible liquids by altering the interfacial tension, is also dispersible in heated oil phase of preparations. The surfactant property lowers the surface tension of formulations as well as aids the even distribution of the product when used. Applications include sun creams.
