It prevents the growth of microorganisms and enhances antimicrobial activity. It also increases the effectiveness of preservatives, thus minimize the use. It is used in deodorants, antiperspirants, skin-care, hair-care, conditioner, lotion, milk, cream and leave-in products. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
