ALTUGLAS® BS 440

Methacrylic co-polymer bead. ALTUGLAS® BS 440 is a binder of medium molecular weight with acid functionality. It acts as a matting agent. Also acts as an additive for polyester resin. It exhibits exceptional optical quality, outstanding weather resistance, large range of solubility, very good compatibility with other thermoplastics and low residual odor. Exhibits good solubility and compatibility. Used in minimizing shrinkage during polymerization of polyester resins. Also used as a binder in solvent coatings and resins.

ALTUGLAS® BS 580

Methacrylic co-polymer. ALTUGLAS® BS 580 is a solid bead of medium molecular weight. It acts as a matting agent. It exhibits exceptional optical quality, outstanding weather resistance, large range of solubility, very good compatibility with other thermoplastics and low residual odor. When dissolved in styrene, it minimizes shrinkage during polymerization of polyester resins. Compatible with most polymers. Used as inclusions, acrylic composites and even as a binder, possibly in solvent coatings, floor coatings, polyester resins and acrylic composites.

ALTUGLAS® BS 100

Cross-linked methacrylic co-polymer in the form of insoluble spherical particles (beads) with small size and narrow size distribution. ALTUGLAS® BS 100 acts as an excellent matting, texturing, anti-scratch, anti-slip, anti-blocking, gloss control and dispersing agent in waterborne systems and also in solvent systems under proper conditions. It works as an additive even in thermoplastic polymers and possibly in porous material. It exhibits exceptional optical quality, outstanding weather resistance, large range of solubility, very good compatibility with other thermoplastics, low residual odor, pleasant shining effect and UV resistance. Used in minimizing shrinkage during polymerization of polyester resins and dispersing in waterborne coatings to obtain specific substrate effects. In clear acrylic-based coatings, it does not alter the transparency. Also used in UV curable coatings.
