Water washed, fine particle size kaolin clay. Acts as a cost effective functional filler and rheology modifier. Exhibits high surface area and low oil absorption which allows for higher pigment and function filler loading. Has a platy structure. Gives improved substrate adhesion and surface appearance upon drying. Highly recommended for water-based paints and coatings. Can be used alone in primer coats or with other kaolin products in semi-gloss coatings.
