Amber-colored, near-neutral, tacky, viscous methyl ester of rosin. Possesses clarity, high refractive index, low vapor pressure, high boiling point, good thermal stability, very good surface-wetting properties, and compatibility with a wide variety of materials. Used in a variety of applications, including lacquers, inks, paper coatings and varnishes.
