SPP–300 by Shamrock Technologies is a low molecular weight polypropylene. Acts as a matting-, texturing-, mar/scuff-, anti-slip- and abrasion resistance agent. Provides anti-slip, matting, texture and abrasion resistance properties. SPP–300 is used in both air dry and baked coatings for solvent and aqueous systems at 5-20% of total formula weight. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 175.320, 177.1520, 175.125, 177.2600 and 178.3570.
Neptune 5223 by Shamrock Technologies is a synthetic wax that has been oxidized to provide water wettability and has a uniform melting range peaking at 97°C. Acts as a slip control agent, abrasion resistance-, rub resistance- and mar/scuff agent. Provides slip, mar/scuff, abrasion resistance, rub resistance and ease of dispersibility properties. Neptune 5223 is used in water-based inks and coatings. It is recommended for liquid and UV inks and coatings.
AquaFLON® 50 by Shamrock Technologies is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) aqueous dispersion-based slip control agent. Provides high temperature resistance, broad chemical resistance, clarity, gloss retention, transparency and slip (low COF) properties. AquaFLON® 50 is recommended for coatings such as overprint varnishes for can coatings and water-based inkjet formulations. It is also most suitable for thin films applications at 1-5% of solids to the total formula weight. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, and 176.180.
