Pentalyn® FC

Pentaerythritol ester of maleic anhydride-modified wood rosin. It is a pale, high softening point, high acid number, thermoplastic resin. It is highly soluble in typical organic solvents as well as in dilute aqueous solutions of alkalies, including ammonia. Promotes high gloss and hardness. It is particlulary suitable for modifying compositions based on alcohol-soluble and water-soluble film formers, to which it contributes high gloss, block resistance, fast solvent release and good adhesion.

Belro®

Dark wood rosin. It is a medium softening point, dark, thermoplastic, acidic resin. It is obtained during the separation and refining of various natural resins and terpenes extracted from aged pinewood. Belro dark wood rosin is composed of rosin-type resin acids, oxidized and otherwise modified forms of these materials, and a minor amount of the neutral and colored constituents associated with dark wood rosins. Offers high acid value, good oxidation resistance, good thermoplasticity, wide compatability and chemical reactivity.

Pexite® FF

Wood rosin. It is a thermoplastic acidic resin composed of rosin acids, oxidized and modified forms of these resins, and neutral and colored constituents associated with dark rosin. Shows water resistance and wide solubility and chemical reactivity range. Used in gum ester for protective coatings, inks and ink vehicles.
