Liquid Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer (HALS). BLS® 292HP by Mayzo provides very good light stability to variety of coating systems, including waterborne and UV curable coatings, and long term stability to a variety of polymeric systems. Offers low color contribution, low volatility and very good solubility. Exhibits high degree of photostability. Gives strong absorption of UV radiation in the 300-400nm range. Benzotriazole. Acts as an ultraviolet light absorber (UVA) in many coatings. Provides good light stability for plastics, other organic polymers and organic pigments, thermal stability to processing temperatures as high as 600& deg;F, very good resistance to oxidizing and reducing agents and little or no initial color to substrates. Offers high degree of photostability, and synergistic performance with other stabilizers. Possesses low, oral and dermal toxicity. Exhibits antioxidant and thermal stabilization properties. Blend of benotriazole and polyethylene glycol. Acts as a UV absorber/light stabilizer. It offers excellent protection against ultraviolet degradation. Shows excellent miscibility and low volatility. It is compatible with a wide variety of systems including water-based. It extends life time of coatings by minimizing defects such as loss of gloss and cracking. It can also be used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers to provide significantly enhanced performance. Used in automotive clear coat and base coat coatings, industrial coatings, paints, and wood stains. High-performance phenolic resin. Possesses very good chemical resistance. Used in metal primers.
