High structured phenolic modified rosin ester. Exhibits medium solubility combined with medium to high viscosity in mineral distillates. Offers very fast setting, low misting, low tack, less gelling, high gloss and very good water balance properties. Used in offset, web offset, heatset, coldset, sheetfed inks, gel and let down varnishes. Setaprint™ 260 A by Lawter is a phenolic-modified rosin ester. Provides improved high-speed transfer and improved gloss while maintaining a more stable rheology in the ink. The unique feature of a more stable and more defined degree of structure makes it a high performance resin for more demanding ink vehicles. Setaprint™ 260 A is used in offset inks and coatings. Setaprint™ 2244 A is a high viscosity, phenolic modified rosin ester by Lawter. It exhibits low solubility, excellent solvent release for fast setting and good holdout. It shows excellent compatibility with drying oils to provide a hard, scuff resistant surface to varnishes. It is bisphenol A-free grade. Setaprint™ 2244 A is recommended for offset inks and coatings. Setaprint™ 2243 A by Lawter is a moderately soluble, high viscosity phenolic modified rosin ester. Exhibits excellent solvent release for fast setting and good holdout. Medium viscosity phenolic modified rosin ester. Has very good setting and holdout properties for maximum gloss as well as hardness.
