Optilith™ 3A by Lawter is a water fighting compound. It effectively reduces water pick-up in lithographic inks at 0.5 to 2% usage levels. It is a free flow, resinated solution for ease of pumping and dispersing. Exhibits minimal impact on tack and rheology. Improves the ink transfer properties. Optilith™ 3A is used in heatset offset ink, sheetfed offset ink and flushing vehicles. Optilith™ TRG A by Lawter is a 100% non-volatile gelled tack reducer. Reduces the initial tack without "destroying" the rheological properties of ink. Flattens the tack curve through added solubility, providing greater tack stability and improved transfer. Optilith™ TRG A is used in sheetfed inks, heatset inks and web no-heat inks. Optilith™ 1486 A by Lawter is an easy-to-disperse, low viscosity anti-oxidant. It maximizes stay open time in sheetfed and heatset inks with minimum effect on drying time. Possesses anti-skinning properties and is pumpable for easy transfer & dispersion. Used in heatset offset ink and sheetfed offset ink. Recommended usage of Optilith™ 1486 A in lithographic inks ranges from 0.7-1.5%. Optilith™ 3E by Lawter is a 85% non-volatile solution based on resins, special ingredients and mineral distillate (240-270°C). It controls the water balance and improves the ink transfer properties. Exhibits minimal impact on tack and rheology. Provides the faster water break during flushing process. Optilith™ 3E is used in offset, sheetfed, heatset and flushing varnishes. Recommended usage ranges from 0.5-2.0%. Water-fighting additive. Is a high solids, low volatile, lubricating compound that effectively reduces water pickup in lithographic inks at 0.5-2% usage levels. Has minimal impact on tack and rheology. Improves the ink transfer properties. Used in heatset and sheetfet offset inks. Optilith™ 3094 by Lawter is a 18% solution of a potent antioxidant. Prevents the skin formation, assists metal driers to achieve squalene resistance as well as assists stay-open time on press. Used in heatset inks and sheetfed inks (low levels). Optilith™ XJ12 E by Lawter is a 15% non-volatile anti-set off compound in mineral distillate (240-270°C). Reduces the set-off in litho inks and does not cause piling. Can be incorporated into an ink or added press-side. Optilith™ XJ12 E is used in offset, sheetfed, quickset, webfed, heatset and coldset inks. Recommended usage level ranges from 3-6%. An easy-to-disperse low viscosity anti-oxidant additive based on anti-oxidant (BHT), vegetable oil and mineral distillate. Has minimum effect on drying time and maximum ink "stay open" time. Used for anti-skinning, for "fresh" inks, "overnight" inks, "stay open" inks as well as for offset, sheetfed, gloss offset, quickset and heatset inks. Anti-oxidant compound. Prevents the surface skinning and provides the long "stay open" time in sheetfed as well as heatset inks with minimum effect on drying time. Is a 79% non-volatile compound based on polyethylene wax, special ingredients and mineral distillate 180-360°C. Acts as a water repellent. Controls the water balance and improves the transfer properties. Has minimal impact on tack and rheology. Used in offset, sheetfed and heatset inks.
