It is designed to extend prime pigments in gloss through egg-shell water based coatings. Hydrite® TS 90S by Imerys is a spray-dried, kaolin pigment spacer designed to limit the impact on gloss reduction. Hydrite® TS 90S is suitable for high and semi gloss water based coatings. Recommended for architectural coatings, coil & powder coatings, tinting paste, and wood coatings. Hydrite® RS-A by Imerys acts as a filler. It is a spray dried, acidic pH and fine particle size hydrous kaolin. It exhibits chemical inertness, and offers improved spacing of TiO<sub>2</sub> particles in a paint film and improved opacity. It is a naturally occurring hydrated aluminum silicate with lamellar or platy particle shape. Hydrite® RS-A is recommended for water-based coatings, flexographic inks and offset inks.
