Polycat® DBU Catalyst by Evonik is a polyurethane additive that promotes the urethane (polyolisocyanate) reaction in coatings and CASE applications. It displays very strong gelation capability, imparts low odor and is used in formulations containing aliphatic isocyanates as they require exceptionally strong catalysts because they are much less active than aromatic isocyanates. The optimum storage temperature is between 10°C and 30°C. Polycat® DBU has a shelf life of 36 months. Polycat® SA-102 by Evonik is a catalyst. It is a delayed action tertiary amine based on DBU. It promotes the urethane (polyol-isocyanate) reaction in microcellular, rigid, integral skin and elastomer applications. It is non-hydrolyzable and activated under application of heat. It is used in applications that require a delayed activation from heat generated by the urethane and urea reactions. It extends foam mass flow time for complex mold configurations and causes heat-accelerated back-end cure. Polycat® SA-102 is used in coatings. POLYCAT® 140 by Evonik acts as a low-emissive amine reactive catalyst. It is more selective for the water-isocyanate blowing reaction. Due to its chemical structure POLYCAT® 140 can react into the foam, significantly reducing off-gassing over time and amine related odor when used in combination with Polycat® 31 , Polycat® 141 or Polycat® 142 catalysts. Offers reduced emissions and competitive cost in use. POLYCAT® 140 is used in water blown, low density spray polyurethane foams applications. POLYCAT® 141 by Evonik acts as a low-emissive amine co-catalyst. Offers reduced emissions and promote fine cell structure. When POLYCAT® 141 is used in combination with a catalyst such as Polycat® 140 or Polycat® 31, it effectively improves the water- isocyanate blowing reaction. Used in water blown, low density open cell spray polyurethane foams (SPF) applications. Polycat® 37 by Evonik is a low-emissive amine catalyst. It is a reactive catalyst and is more selective towards the water-isocyanate blowing reaction. Due to its chemical structure, it can reach into the foam, significantly reducing off-gassing over time and amine related odor. Polycat® 37 offers competitive cost in use. It is used for low density, water blown, open-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF). POLYCAT® SA-2LE by Evonik is low emissive, delayed action tertiary amine based on DBU. Acts as a catalyst. Is particularly recommended for use with low activity aliphatic isocyanates. POLYCAT® SA-2LE possesses long pot life and fast back-end cure. Used in coatings. POLYCAT® 142 by Evonik acts as a low-emissive amine co-catalyst. Due to its chemical structure, it can react into the foam, significantly reducing off-gassing over time and amine related odor. It offers reduced emissions and promote fine cell structure. When it is used in combination with a catalyst such as Polycat® 140 or Polycat® 31, it effectively improves the water- isocyanate blowing reaction. POLYCAT® 142 is used in water blown, low density spray polyurethane foams applications.
