THIXCIN® R

THIXCIN® R by Elementis is a non-hygroscopic rheology modifier for organic systems based on non-polar solvents. It adds thixotropic body and controls viscosity. It controls liquid penetration into porous surfaces and sag without impairing flow.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It improves degassing, flow and leveling.</li> <li>It reduces settling of pigments and extenders.</li> <li>It produces optimum leveling in paints.</li> <li>Possesses excellent package stability and has no adverse effect on durability and light-fastness.</li> <li>It is designed for applications like wood stains, alkyd-, solvent-free epoxy-, hammer finish- and radiator paints.</li> <li>THIXCIN® R is also used in textured paints, high build paints, gel coats and surfacers and powder coatings.</li> <li> Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.8% by weight of the total formulation and in powder coating use level is 0.2-2%.</li> <li>It has shelf life of 4 years from the date of manufacture.</li></ul>

Thixcin® GR by Elementis is non-discoloring, inorganically modified derivative of castor oil-based rheological additive for solvent-based systems. It offers reduced tendency for lumping and easy dispersion. It provides viscosity, thixotropy and sag control without impairing flow and leveling, and pigment suspension.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It gives very good package stability.</li> <li>Applications include solvent-free epoxy systems, architectural finishes, stains, gelcoats and surfacers based on unsaturated polyesters and underbody coatings.</li> <li>The typical use level of Thixcin® GR is 0.4-1.5% by weight.</li> <li>It has a shelf life of 4 years from the date of manufacture.</li></ul>
