THIXCIN® R

THIXCIN® R by Elementis is a non-hygroscopic rheology modifier for organic systems based on non-polar solvents. It adds thixotropic body and controls viscosity. It controls liquid penetration into porous surfaces and sag without impairing flow.

• It improves degassing, flow and leveling.
• It reduces settling of pigments and extenders.
• It produces optimum leveling in paints.
• Possesses excellent package stability and has no adverse effect on durability and light-fastness.
• It is designed for applications like wood stains, alkyd-, solvent-free epoxy-, hammer finish- and radiator paints.
• THIXCIN® R is also used in textured paints, high build paints, gel coats and surfacers and powder coatings.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.8% by weight of the total formulation and in powder coating use level is 0.2-2%.
• It has shelf life of 4 years from the date of manufacture.
