RHEOTECH™ 3800 by Coatex (Arkema Group) is an APE-free, solvent-free aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer. It is an associative, tin-free acrylic thickener designed to improve both the rheology and the color acceptance of water based formulations. Its outstanding effectiveness at medium shear rates allows to control very easily the perceived quality of paints during handling. It facilitates coating by roll or by brush, especially for finishing touches. It ensures safe additions of colorants in water-based formulations, limiting viscosity changes and rub-out issues. Provides improved sag/leveling and good water resistance. It can be used alone in high PVC formulations including matt & semi-matt paints, fillers and low cost formulations, at concentration between 0.1 and 0.6%. RHEOTECH™ 3800 has a shelf life of 6 months. RHEOTECH™ 4800 by Coatex (Arkema Group) is a solvent- and APE-free aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer. It is an APEO-free associative acrylic thickener providing a pseudoplastic rheology profile. Produces formulations with high values viscosities at low shear together with a valuable appearance. Offers high VOC paints a creamy and structured appearance with a good flow, tool loading and drag during finishing. It is compliant with eco-friendly regulations. Imparts improved sag/leveling, easy finishing touches (touch up) and good water resistance. RHEOTECH™ 4800 can be used in formulation showing high PVC, e.g. matt paints, fillers and low cost formulations, at concentration between 0.05 and 0.5%. RHEOTECH™ 2000 is a low VOC, APE-free, anionic aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer by Coatex (Arkema Group). It is an alkali soluble, acrylic-based associative thickener specifically designed for use in aqueous systems requiring a Newtonian rheological behavior. It is highly effective in silk and flat emulsion paints. Provides an excellent balance between high and low shear viscosities, and an excellent compatibility with most organic and inorganic pigments. Exhibits improved flow and leveling whilst retaining sag resistance. Offers excellent color development, gloss retention and excellent resistance to bacteria and enzymes. Typical dosage level of RHEOTECH™ 2000 ranges between 0.3–1.5% by weight of active ingredient on the total formulation weight. It has a shelf life of 6 months. RHEOTECH™ M 03 by Coatex (Arkema Group) is an aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer. It is an associative acrylic thickener designed for water-based putties and textured coating formulations. It is easy to handle, incorporate and formulate while also providing high viscosities at low and medium shear rate with a good shear thinning behavior. It therefore gives a good body and high build to formulations while exhibiting ease of application. RHEOTECH™ M 03 is resistant to microbiological, enzymatic attacks and fully compliant with eco-friendly regulations. It may be added at every step of the formulation, also during the grinding step.
