LAPONITE® RD by BYK is a synthetic layered silicate. Acts as a rheology modifier/ thickener. It is insoluble in water but hydrates and swells to give clear and colorless colloidal dispersions. Imparts a shear sensitive structure to a wide range of water-borne formulations. LAPONITE® RD is used in household and industrial surface coatings. It has a shelf life of 48 months. LAPONITE® S482 by BYK is a rheology additive based on synthetic phyllosilicate for aqueous systems to improve the rheological properties in the low shear range. It hydrates and swells in water to give translucent and colorless colloidal liquid dispersions known as sols.<br>

It offers smooth, coherent and electrically conductive films. It hydrates and swells in water to give clear and colorless colloidal dispersions of low viscosity known as sols. Imparts a shear sensitive structure. LAPONITE® RDS is used in household and industrial surface and paper coatings. It has a shelf life of 48 months. LAPONITE® JS by BYK acts as a rheology modifier/thickener. Fluorosilicate modified with an inorganic polyphosphate. Offers smooth, coherent, electrically conductive and anti-static films. LAPONITE® JS is compatible with polyurethane, acrylic, vinyl acetate, SBR and polyvinyl alcohol. Used in paper coatings. It is also used in formulations to produce inkjet receiving coatings for full color printing. LAPONITE® -SL 25 by BYK acts as rheology modifier based on synthetic phyllosilicate for aqueous systems to improve the rheological properties in the low shear range. It increases viscosity in the low shear range with a low impact in the high shear range. It is a liquid dispersion of a synthetic layered silicate modified with a patented dispersing agent. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li> It improves the processability and storage stability of clear, pigmented, and matted do-it-yourself (DIY) aqueous coatings as well as industrially applied aqueous coatings.</li>
<li> It is highly effective in preventing the settling of pigments, extenders, matting agents, or other solids used in aqueous coating systems. </li>
<li> It is used in architectural coatings, wood and furniture coatings, general industrial coatings, and floor coatings. </li>
<li> It is supplied ready for use and may be added to formulations at any point during manufacture. </li>
<li> The recommended level is 0.3-2.0% based upon total formulation. </li>
<li> LAPONITE® -SL 25 has a shelf life of 12 months. </li></ul>
