Butyl Glycol by BASF is a high boiling, low volatility ethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether/ 2-Butoxyethanol/ 1-Hydroxy-2-n-butoxyethane having mild odor. It acts as a solvent and coalescent for paints and printing inks. It can form peroxides in the presence of atmospheric oxygen.<br>

<li>It also improves brush ability of alkyd resin paints and reduces their viscosity.</li>
<li>It significantly lowers the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT).</li>

<li>Exhibits miscibility with most common organic solvents and water.</li>
