Attagel® 50 by BASF is an inert powdered gelling grade of attapulgite clay. It acts as a rheology modifier. It is finely pulverized to effectively form colloidal gels in ionic and non-ionic aqueous solutions to provide thixotropic thickening and suspension. <br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Attagel® 50 is recommended for paint and coatings applications where sag resistance, spatter control and syneresis control are required.</li>
<li>It can impart thickening and suspension when dispersed with an appropriate surfactant in most organic liquid systems.</li>
<li>Suggested applications include architectural coatings, EIFS and automotive refinishing.</li></ul> Attagel® 30 by BASF is a thickener based on attapulgite clay. It is a medium-fine grind and cost-effective thickener. It is easy to incorporate and provides improved feathering and a very smooth and scratch-free surface for further painting. It can be used where particle size and residue are not critical or where superior mixing and dispersion is available. Attagel® 30 is used for asphalt coatings. Attagel® 40 by BASF is a fine-milled, specialty attapulgite. Acts as a very good thixotropic thickening agent. Offers rapid dispersion. Provides thixotropic viscosity build, syneresis (liquid separation) control, pigment suspension, sag resistance, good film build and reduced water sensitivity. Offers improved tint strength/ hiding in paints, spatter-, bacteria- and chemical resistance, very good binding and tabletting features and improved extrusion properties. Attagel® 40 is recommended for use in high-quality water-borne systems like latex and specialty paints. Specialty attapulgite. Acts as a very good thixotropic thickening agent. Offers rapid dispersion. Provides thixotropic viscosity build, syneresis (liquid separation) control, pigment suspension, sag resistance, good film build, reduced water sensitivity, improved tint strength/hiding in paints; spatter-, bacteria- and chemical resistance, very good binding and tabletting features and improved extrusion properties. Gives very good storage stability. Suitable for water- and solvent borne coating systems. Recommended for use in asphalt coating applications, including roof and driveway coatings. Attagel® 20 by BASF is a specialty attapulgite. Acts as a rheology modifier. It gets easily dispersed during formulation. It assists in syneresis control, sag resistance, film build, levelling, spatter resistance, spreadability, feathering, tint strength and hiding. Attagel® 20 is suitable for use in water- & solvent-borne industrial coatings and inks applications. Attagel® 350 by BASF is an economical, specialty attapulgite. Acts as a very good thixotropic thickening agent. Offers rapid dispersion. Provides thixotropic viscosity build, syneresis (liquid separation) control, pigment suspension, sag resistance, good film build, reduced water sensitivity, improved tint strength/hiding in paints; spatter-, bacteria- and chemical resistance, very good binding and tabletting features and improved extrusion properties. Attagel® 350 is recommended to use in water-borne and solvent-borne coating systems. Specialty attapulgite. Acts as a rheology modifier. It is economical and of coarse particle size. Offers high gel strength. Provides very
good sag resistance and suspension properties. Requires high shear to disperse. Recommended for certain applications where high residue is acceptable. Can be used in water- and solvent borne coatings. Recommended for asphalt coatings.
