Imparts viscosity reduction, higher hardness and strength with decreased elongation as well as flexibility than DB Oil while maintaining the benefits that castor oil offers on application properties such as improved flow and levelling. Acts as a 100% solids castor oil based reactive diluent with a linear chain backbone having low viscosity, good compatibility and wetting properties. Caspol® 5003 is composed of a blend of primary and secondary hydroxyls which makes this polyol more reactive and yields slightly harder as well as less flexible components than either Caspol® 5001 or DB Oil. It is a 100% solids castor oil based reactive diluent with a cycloaliphatic ring central to the linear chain backbone that improves strength and hardness while maintaining good elongation as well as flexibility. Also offers improved weatherability, flow, adhesion and chemical as well as moisture resistance. Used in low VOC UV resistant 2 component industrial maintenance, polyurethane coatings, low VOC force dry & bake topcoats and primers for plastics and metal. Polyol. It is a 100% solids castor oil based reactive diluent with a linear chain backbone having low viscosity, good compatibility and wetting properties. It is the lowest molecular weight diol of the Caspol® series. It exhibits very low viscosity and produces higher strength, elongation and flexibility than DB oil while being softer. Offers improved adhesion and chemical as well as moisture resistance properties. Used in high performance polyurethane coatings as well as low VOC UV resistant 2-component industrial maintenance and thermosetting OEM coatings. Also used in bake topcoats and primers for plastics. Polyester polyol. It is a low molecular weight polyol with medium hardness and good elongation as well as flexibility. Offers improved adhesion and chemical as well as moisture resistance properties. Used in low VOC UV resistant 2 component industrial maintenance, low VOC force dry and bake topcoats, primers for plastics and polyurethane coatings. Also used in formulation of 2 component water dispersible polyurethane coatings as well as in the modification of waterborne melamine coatings.
