Polyol. Acts as a 100% solids castor oil based reactive diluent with a linear chain backbone having low viscosity, good compatibility and wetting properties. Caspol® 5003 is composed of a blend of primary and secondary hydroxyls which makes this polyol more reactive and yields slightly harder as well as less flexible components than either Caspol® 5001 or DB Oil. Offers improved adhesion and chemical as well as moisture resistance properties. Used in low VOC UV resistant 2 component industrial maintenance and polyurethane coatings. Also used in bake topcoats and primers for plastics.
