Patinal® Magnesium fluoride low oxide by Susonity is an evaporation material for optical and functional coatings. It is used in low index material in the wavelength region ultraviolet/near infrared spectroscopy (UV-NIR). It has a reduced oxygen contamination level compared to standard magnesium fluoride products which can be advantageous in highly absorption and defect critical applications. Patinal® Magnesium fluoride low oxide is used in antireflection (AR) coatings on glass for VIS & NIR, multilayer coatings for beam-splitters & filters and protective layers on aluminium.
